We have now entered thick of pre-monsoon season. Dust storms likely in Delhi-NCR on Thursday night or next morning. Here’s a look at the weather conditions across the country in detail:

The active Western Disturbance brought good showers in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. Rain will reduce in intensity by Friday.

The cyclonic circulation over sub-Himalayan West Bengal will bring good amounts of rain over Northeast India. Moisture laden southwesterly winds coming from the Bay of Bengal can be seen penetrating up to Northeastern states. The active Western Disturbance will also travel along the Terairegion and gradually reaches the Northeastern states, enhancing rainfall activity there.

The recent Western Disturbance and the cyclonic circulation will continue bring widespread rain overthe region for another 3-4 days.

In a swing of weather, Chennai finally joined the rain party as pre-monsoon rain poured heavily over the city on Wednesday. Rest of the state was also lashed by good showers. The easterly wave is bringing fairly widespread rain in the interiors and along the coast of Tamil Nadu.

Rain will continue in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, North Interior Karnataka, and adjoining Maharashtra for another 24 hours and start reducing thereafter.
