Southwest Monsoon have advanced further, covering entire Maharashtra, South Gujarat, Central and south Madhya Pradesh, parts of Chhattisgarh and south Odisha.
On west coast it has reached Veraval, while on the east coast it has touched Kalingapatnam.
An off-shore trough is extending from south Gujarat to Kerala coast. On Monday, we can expect good rainfall activity across the trough line, with heavy rain over coastal Karnataka, Konkan Goa and coastal Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, Northeast India continues to witness heavy Monsoon rains. A cyclonic circulation is prevailing over Assam and Meghalaya region along with moist southerly winds from Bay of Bengal will continue to give heavy to very heavy rainfall over the entire northeastern region.
A trough is extending from Bihar up to south Chhattisgarh across Jharkhand. On Monday, we can expect scattered rain and thundershowers across the well-marked trough line.
Moving on to North India, the region is witnessing good weather at present. Thanks to the several weather systems prevailing over the region. A Western Disturbance is prevailing over North Pakistan, giving light rain over hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
While an induced cyclonic circulation is over Haryana, triggering dust storm and thunder shower activities along with light rain over plains of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi-NCR, North Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.
