National Weather Video Report For 11-04-2015

April 10, 2015 10:06 PM |

April is here, but, summer still seems to be just knocking at the door. Some aspects of winter are still lingering on, especially in North India. After the prolonged spell of rain in Delhi and North India, temperatures just started crawling back to normal and now another spell of rain will bring down the temperatures.

A feeble cyclonic circulation will bring isolated activity over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi on Saturday and Sunday. Most parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat will be left out.

We can expect moderate to heavy rain over Central and South India. There is a cyclonic circulation over Madhya Maharashtra and an anticyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal. The meeting place of winds coming from Central India and the Bay will receive widespread rain. As result, we’ll have good showers in east Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha on Saturday and Sunday. Rain will cover Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar by Monday and ease out by the next day.

In the southern part of the country, westerly winds from the Arabian Sea and easterlies from this side will come and form a discontinuity along the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. So, you can expect some rain over the interiors of South India over the weekend. Coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh will remain dry.
