The tropical storm Ashobaa is moving in a north-northwest direction towards the coast of Oman. It islikely to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm in next 24 hours. The system will give good Monsoon rain over northern parts of Karnataka coast, Maharashtra coast and south Gujarat on Wednesday.
Strong winds will continue to blow over the region. The intensity of rain will decrease over Kerala and interiors of Karnataka during next 2 days. Another cyclonic circulation present over coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining Bay of Bengal will bring fairly widespread rainfall over south Andhra coast and north Tamil Nadu.
Interiors of Maharashtra will also receive scattered rainfall. The trough extending from sub-Himalayan West Bengal will run up to Jharkhand. Isolated thundershowers likely all along the trough. Moisture laden southerly winds coming from the Bay of Bengal will give heavy Monsoon showers over Assam and Meghalaya.
The Western Disturbance over North Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir will bring scattered light rainfall over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday. Punjab could also receive isolated rain. Heat Wave conditions will continue to prevail over many parts of Bihar, Jharkhand and east Uttar Pradesh. Parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Strong winds and rain will bring down temperatures over south Rajasthan and Gujarat.
