April 7, 2015 6:33 PM | Skymet Weather Team

Delhiites once again woke up to a cloudy sky and light rain on Tuesday morning. Few pockets in the national capital, including Ghaziabad and North Delhi, received unseasonal rain. The Safdarjung Observatory also recorded traces of rain today morning.

We can expect another spell of dust storm accompanied by light in late evening hours. Maximum temperature will not rise above 32°C during next 24 hours.

The cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan and adjoining areas first brought dust storm and rain in Rajasthan. The weather activity then travelled across Haryana to touch Delhi-NCR and moved further to affect west Uttar Pradesh.

The weather system will further travel to reach the hills of North India and they stand a chance to receive rain over the next 24 hours.

Another weather system will bring rain and dust storm in North India from April 11. We are finally reaching the season when dust storm becomes a common affair.

Rainfall in East India during the month of March was not very satisfying. Except for the Bihar sub-division, entire Gangetic West Bengal remained rain deficit. However, pre-monsoon showers have now picked up.

Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand also witnessed light rain.  Weather is likely to be rainy for another 48 hours, after which rainfall activity will ease out for a couple of days. And by Saturday another weather system is expected to hit the region and give widespread moderate to heavy rain.

We can expect some light rain right from interiors of Karnataka to Kerala and southern tip of Tamil Nadu.
