Monsoon has finally arrived over Kerala. The cyclonic circulation over southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Lakshadweep has become more marked. This system helped in the onset of Monsoon in Kerala. In view of the system, rainfall over Kerala has increased significantly. We can see southwesterly winds blowing over most Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. 

Good Monsoon rain will continue over Kerala, coastal areas of Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Andhra Pradesh on Saturday. Tamil Nadu will also receive light rain. The trough extending from the cyclonic circulation over Bihar will extend up to Karnataka. Thundershowers are likely all along the trough, across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Karnataka.

The cyclonic circulation over Northeast India are bringing good showers over Northeast India. Conditions are favourable for the onset of Monsoon in this region. Isolated places could receive very heavy showers on Saturday. The Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir is still capable of bringing scattered light rainfall over the hills.

The plains will be hot and dry. Northwesterly winds are blowing over the region and temperatures will be on the rise. But, there’ll be no heat wave across the country at least for next 24 hours.

In Delhi, maximum will not rise above 40°C on Saturday. Mumbai will be hot and humid with maximum around 34 degrees. Nagpur and Bhopal will be hot with day temperatures around 42°C.
