National Weather Video Report For 05-06-2015

June 4, 2015 7:09 PM | Skymet Weather Team

As expected a cyclonic circulation has come up over the Lakshadweep region, off the Kerala and Karnataka coast. The flow of winds now seem conducive for the onset of Monsoon within next 2 days. Coastal areas will receive good showers till Saturday. Isolated areas could also receive heavy showers. According to Skymet, the circulation will become more marked and move along the coastline, enhancing rainfall along the coast. This system will help in ushering the much-awaited Southwest Monsoon in India.

We can see a feeble cyclonic circulation over Bihar and adjoining areas. Thundershowers are likely all along the trough extending from the system across Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Karnataka. The cyclonic circulation will regain strength after 24 hours. Consequently, rainfall will increase over the area.

The Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir is moving away but, is still capable of bringing scattered light rainfall over the hills. Hot and dry weather will make a comeback in the plains. Dry north-westerly winds will start blowing over the region and temperatures will be on the rise. There’ll be no heat wave across the country at least for next 48 hours.

In Delhi, maximum will not rise above 38 degrees on Friday. Mumbai will be hot and humid with temperatures around 34 degrees. In the coastal areas of Kerala and Karnataka, temperatures will be in lower-thirties.
