In the last 24 hours, Southwest Monsoon remained vigorous over Interior Tamil Nadu, North Kerala and South Interior Karnataka. While active Monsoon conditions were seen over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, North Interior Karnataka and South Konkan and Goa.
Monsoon remained normal over Remaining parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, South Madhya Maharashtra, North Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Nagaland and parts of Assam.
Major rain contribution came from Narsapur that recorded 78 mm of rainfall, followed by Dharmapuri at 76 mm and Bengaluru at 67 mm.

At present, axis of monsoon trough is running across Bahraich, Ballia, Bhagalpur and thenceforth towards Nagaland.
During the next 24 hours, Monsoon will remain vigorous over parts of Karnataka as well as Interior Tamil Nadu. Active Monsoon conditions will prevail over South Konkan and Goa, Kerala and North Coastal Tamil Nadu.

Monsoon will remain normal over Telangana, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal and northeastern states.
