Country saw normal Monsoon rains during the past 24 hours. The major contribution came from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and North India.
Arogyavaram in Andhra Pradesh recorded 102 mm of rains while Bellary witnessed 74 mm, followed by Parbhani at 73 mm.
Most deficit parts of the country were Northwestern Plains with Rajasthan, Gujarat and Northeast India. With this, seasonal rainfall for the country was surplus by 5% as on June 6.
The northern limit of Monsoon continues to pass through Kochi, Tondi, Agartala, William Nagar, and Kokrajhar.

Weather conditions are highly favorable for Monsoon to advance further during the next 24 hours, covering entire Kerala, some parts of Coastal and South Karnataka including Bengaluru and some more parts of Tamil Nadu. In Northeast, it may reach up to Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

During the next 24 hours, West Coast will continue with good rains with intense showers over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa. Rains may intensify over Bengaluru but significant rise is likely in Mumbai rains. Meanwhile, Northeast region will continue with subdued Monsoon rains.
