Since the last 24 hours, Monsoon remained vigorous over Konkan & Goa, Coastal Maharashtra and Karnataka. Monsoon was active over Lakshadweep, Kerala and northeastern states.
Meanwhile, Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema received subdued Monsoon rains. Monsoon currents remained weak over Tamil Nadu.
The major contribution came from Konkan & Goa, Coastal Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, North Coastal Odisha, West Bengal and eastern parts of Bihar.
Harnai in Maharashtra recorded 143 mm of rains, Honavar recorded 137 mm, Mangalore 104 mm, while Colaba in Mumbai recorded 94 mm.
Country continued with excess Monsoon rains during the past 24 hours, with seasonal rainfall being surplus by 18% as on June 11. While, Northwest India received highest surplus rains of 63%, Central India was excess at 42%

The northern limit of Monsoon has advanced further and now passing through Valsad, Nashik, Adilabad, Digha, Kolkata and Krishnanagar.

During the next 24 hours, the entire West Coast will continue with good rains with some moderate to heavy showers over Maharashtra, Interior Karnataka, parts of Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and northeastern states.
