The axis of monsoon trough continues to pass through Sri Ganganagar, Alwar, Nowgong, Sidhi, Ambikapur, Chaibasa, Digha and then east¬southeastwards to East central Bay of Bengal.
During the last 24 hours, Monsoon remained active to vigorous over Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, South Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, parts of Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, West Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Major rainfall contribution came from Khandwa that recorded 149 mm of rains, followed by Mahabaleshwar at 136 mm and Valsad saw 111 mm of rain.
As on July 11, the countrywide cumulative rainfall is deficient by 8%. Division-wise, South India is the only sub-division, i.e. rainfall surplus by 13%. However, Northwest, Central along with East & Northeast India are rain deficient by 11%, 2% and 27%, respectively.
During the next 24 hours, Southeast Rajasthan, parts of Uttar Pradesh, South Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, West Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana would observe active Monsoon conditions that would give moderate to heavy rains. However, light Mumbai rains are also likely to continue.
Monsoon will remain normal over East Bihar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Northeast India, Interior Karnataka, North Tamil Nadu, Delhi, East Rajasthan, parts of Haryana and Punjab with light to moderate rains over these areas.

Meanwhile, subdued Monsoon conditions would be observed over West Rajasthan, Kutch, rest of Bihar, South Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Mizoram and Tripura.
