The Southwest Monsoon has covered the entire country on July 19. During the last 24 hours, Southwest Monsoon was vigorous over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Odisha and West Coast region.
Meanwhile, active Monsoon conditions were seen over northeastern states, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, East Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Telangana, Kerala and South Karnataka.
Major contribution came from Harnai that recorded 163 mm of rain in the past 24 hours, followed by Ratnagiri at 127 mm and Madikeri at 119 mm.
As on July 19, the cumulative rainfall for the country continues to be normal at 1%. At present, Northwest India is surplus by 18% Central India by 8%. Whereas South India is deficit by 6%, East and Northeast India is still deficient by 12%.

The axis of Monsoon trough is seen passing through Jaisalmar, Guna then central of low, Pendra up to Jharsuguda and is moving towards East Central Bay of Bengal.
During the next 24 hours, Monsoon is likely to remain active to vigorous over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Southeast Rajasthan,giving some heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Active Monsoon conditions are likely over northeastern states, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Kerala and Karnataka.
While subdued Monsoon conditions will be seen over South Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh including parts of interior Karnataka.
