Monsoon Forecast for Jul 15, 2017: Depression to give heavy rains in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh

Southwest Monsoon remained vigorous South and West Madhya Pradesh, Southeast Rajasthan, Northern parts Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan, Goa, Coastal, Karnataka and North Kerala.
On the other hand active Monsoon conditions prevailed over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

Major contribution came from Mount Abu where 190 mm rain was observed followed by Bhira at 178 mm and Ratlam 107mm.

As on July 13, the cumulative countrywide rainfall deficiency continued to be at 1%. Presently, only Northwest India is rain surplus by 32% rest South, Central, East and Northeast regions of the country are rain deficit.

The Northern Limit of Monsoon continues to pass through Barmer, Sikar, Hisar, Patiala up to Kapurthala.

During the next 24 hours, Southwest Monsoon will remain vigorous over Gujarat while, active Monsoon conditions are expected over Southwest Madhya Pradesh, adjoining South Rajasthan, Konkan and Goa and Coastal Karnataka. However, normal Monsoon conditions can be seen over Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, parts of Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha.
