August is likely to end with a rainfall deficiency of over 20% for the month. The overall deficiency will remain around 12%

The Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir is likely to move away. In absence of any significant weather system, tomorrow entire North India will remain mostly dry.

The Monsoon trough will run through Amritsar, Patiala, Muzaffarnagar and finally dip into the Bay of Bengal. Light rain cannot be ruled out along the trough line.

The low pressure area over South Bihar and adjoining East Uttar Pradesh will bring light rain over many places in Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, parts of Odisha and East Uttar Pradesh. Coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh could receive some rain tomorrow.

Southwest Monsoon will remain active over entire Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, adjoining Bihar and Northeast India.

The feeble off-shore trough can be seen extending from the coastal areas of Maharashtra up to Karnataka. For the next two days, expect some scattered light rainfall over coastal Karnataka, North Kerala.

Remaining parts of the country will witness light Monsoon showers. Dry westerly winds blowing over the Northern plains could reduce the sultriness.
