Low pressure are over East India has now moved westwards and is presently marked over Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. With this we can expect fairly widespread showers with isolated heavy rains over these areas. Also under the influence of this low pressure area, scattered good showers will occur over West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar.

A trough can be seen extending from this system up to Tamil Nadu along the East Coast and accordingly we can expect light to moderate rain all along the well-marked trough line.

Meanwhile on the West Coast, feeble off-shore trough is extending from Konkan & Goa region up to Coastal Karnataka. This will give light showers along the trough line including Kerala.

Monsoon trough continues to run along the foothills of Himalayas on the Western side. While, the eastern end is moving across Chhattisgarh, Center of low pressure area, Odisha and further up to Bay of Bengal. Secondary arm of the trough is seen extending up to Northeast region. We can expect some scattered rainfall activity along the foothills of Himalayas starting from Uttarakhand till Northeastern states. Heavy rains are expected to lash Sikkim and sub-Himalayan West Bengal region during next 24 hours.

Rest parts of the country will continue with scattered light rain, barring northwestern plains that includes Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi which will remain mostly dry.
