After remaining at 7% for 4 consecutive days, the countrywide cumulative rainfall deficiency has now come down to 6%.
The Western Disturbance can still be seen over Jammu and Kashmir. On Sunday, we could expect only light scattered rainfall activity in entire North India. No significant rainfall activity likely in Delhi-NCR.
The Monsoon trough will extend from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan up to the center of the low pressure area in Bay of Bengal. It will bring rainfall all along the trough line across the Bhopal, Durg and Jharsuguda.
Here we can see a low pressure area over East Rajasthan and
adjoining West Madhya Pradesh region. Southwest Monsoon will remain vigorous in this part of the country. Heavy showers likely over East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
The weather system over North Bay of Bengal has intensified into a low pressure area. Consequently, heavy Monsoon showers likely over coastal areas of Odisha and West Bengal. Bihar, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh, rest of West Bengal and Northeast India will receive scattered rainfall.
The offshore trough will be active all along the West Coast. It could bring heavy showers, mainly over Kerala, Konkan & Goa. Moderate rainfall likely in Mumbai.
Maximums will be way below normal in Central India. On the other hand, temperatures will be above at few places over North Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and West Rajasthan.
In rest of the country we expect temperatures to remain near normal levels.
