August 24, 2015 6:16 PM |

At present country is witnessing subdued rainfall across the country, however the good news is that the Monsoon Showers are going to revive very soon.

A cyclonic circulation is over West-central Bay of Bengal off the Odisha Coast. While another cyclonic circulation can be seen in its close proximity over West Bengal and adjoining region.
Both the systems will be merging very soon and intensify into a low pressure area and will be primarily responsible for the revival of the Monsoon. We can expect good rainfall over entire East and Northeast India after next 24 hours.

Meanwhile a trough can be seen extending from the weather system over West Bengal all along the East Coast across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Accordingly we can expect light to moderate rain all along the coast.

Moving up in the hills, a fresh Western Disturbance is affecting North India and presently stationed over Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, Monsoon trough is extending from North Punjab up to Bay of Bengal along the foothills of Himalayas.
Both the system coupled together will give scattered light to moderate showers over hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Plains of North India such as Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh will also witness similar weather activity. Delhi can also accept some good showers along with thundershower activity.

Meanwhile West Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada and Vidarbha region of Maharashtra will remain mostly dry. Rest parts of the country will continue with scattered light rain.
