After prolong dry spell, heavy Monsoon showers have returned to Mumbai once again on Tuesday bringing relief from warm and humid weather.
Off-shore trough along the West Coast has gained strength and with this we can expect good Monsoon activity all along the trough line on Wednesday, especially heavy rains over Mumbai and Kerala.
The low pressure area over West Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Rajasthan has weakened into a cyclonic circulation. As a result, moderate showers are expected over parts of Madhya Pradesh, South and East Rajasthan and some parts of Gujarat.
Meanwhile Monsoon trough has shifted far south and is running from North Rajasthan up to Bay of Bengal across Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Due to this, entire Indo-Gangetic plains such as Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will witness light weather activity.
Another cyclonic circulation can be seen in North Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal. The system is likely to give moderate rain over these areas including Jharkhand and North Odisha.
However, formation of this system has led to change in wind pattern over Northeast India, restricting rainfall to light and moderate only.
Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining Pakistan will be giving light to moderate rain over the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
