Western Disturbance is prevailing over Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining Pakistan region. This will give scattered light rain over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Monsoon trough is running north of its normal position, extending from North Punjab up to Northeast region across the foothills of Himalayas. Accordingly, we can expect weather activity all along the trough line.

While heavy to very showers are expected over Uttarakhand, foothills of Bihar, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya.

Another trough line can be seen extending from Bihar up to Bay of Bengal across Jharkhand and West Bengal. With this, we can good rainfall over East India that includes parts of North Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Chhattisgarh.

A fresh system can be seen brewing in North Bay of Bengal and is likely to become more organised during next 24 to 48 hours.

Now moving down south, cyclonic circulation continues to persist and is presently marked over Southeast Arabian Sea off the Kerala and Karnataka coast. A trough is also extending from this system up to Telangana across Karnataka.

In wake of this, good rainfall is expected over Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana. Parts of Andhra Pradesh might also receive light to moderate showers.

Rest parts of the country including northwestern plains will continue with patchy light rainfall. However, Gujarat and Rajasthan will get least weather activity.
