Monsoon activity has reduced across the country and is presently confined to foothills of Himalayas and southern region. Let us now have a detailed look at the weather across the country.

Cyclonic circulation continues to persist over foothills of Bihar and adjoins East Uttar Pradesh. With this we can expect, good rain over entire East India that includes parts of Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Monsoon trough is running north of its normal position along the foothills of Himalayas. It is extending from North Punjab up to Northeast India across the circulation over Bihar. Accordingly, we can expect scattered weather activity all long the well-marked trough line. While heavy to extremely heavy rain will lash parts of Northeast India, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal.

Another cyclonic circulation is over extreme southern parts of Peninsular India and adjoining Lakshadweep region. A trough can be seen extending from this system up to South Interior Karnataka across Kerala. This will give good rainfall over parts of Kerala and Coastal Karnataka.

While rest parts of country including northwestern plains will witness patchy light rainfall only.
