Southwest Monsoon has been active over most parts of the country. On Saturday, people in most parts of India celebrated Eid amidst cloudy and rainy weather

The previous Western Disturbance has moved away, but we can see another system approaching the hills of North India. The fresh Western Disturbance will bring scattered light to moderate Monsoon showers over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

The Monsoon trough is passing through Amritsar, Delhi, Ambikapur and Chaibasa, up to east central Bay of Bengal. Accordingly, we can expect fairly widespread rain over East Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh. Few places could receive good showers as well.

The cyclonic circulation over West Madhya Pradesh will increase the intensity of rain over this area.

The cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay off Gangetic West Bengal will intensify into a low pressure area shortly. Good showers will continue over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and parts of Odisha. But, rain will now decrease over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Northeast India.

The offshore trough along the West Coast is gaining strength. It is likely to bring good showers right from Kerala to Konkan & Goa. Coastal areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat will receive light rain.

West Rajasthan and Rayalseema will be mainly dry on Sunday. After a long wait Vidharbha is expected to receive rain at many places.

In view of rain, temperatures will come down to normal levels in most parts of the country.
