The country wide rainfall deficiency remains at 10%. The best part about this Monsoon is that we haven’t yet seen a ‘break Monsoon’ period as such.

The Western Disturbance as an upper air system lies over Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. The three hilly states will receive only light scattered rains tomorrow. The plains could receive patchy rainfall.

The Monsoon trough has shifted north of its original position, closer to the foothills of the Himalayas. Tomorrow, it will be passing through Amritsar, Ambala, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, the foothills of Bihar and finally up to Northeast India.

There is a cyclonic circulation lying over North Bihar and adjoining Uttar Pradesh. A feeble trough can be seen extending from this circulation up to West Madhya Pradesh. We can expect heavy to very heavy rainfall in the northern parts of Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.

Scattered good showers likely over Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, East Uttar Pradesh, North Odisha and rest of Northeast India.

There is a cyclonic circulation over extreme southern parts of the Peninsula and adjoining Arabian Sea. A trough can be seen extending from this system across interiors of Tamil Nadu, South Interior Karnataka and Rayalseema. Scattered good rains likely over this region including Kerala.

Rest of the country will witness light Monsoon activity.
