We now expect the Southwest Monsoon to be vigorous over entire Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and the foothills of North India.
The Western Disturbance has started affecting the hills of North India. It will bring good amounts of rain in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. The intensity of rain will be heavy in Uttarakhand.
The Monsoon trough which was lying closer to the foothills, will shift southwards by Friday. We can expect some rain all along the trough line passing through East India up to the Bay of Bengal. Plains of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR will also receive rain on Friday.
The cyclonic circulation over Central Uttar Pradesh will bring good showers over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and East Madhya. Flood-like situation is likely in the terai region of Uttar Pradesh.
The Low pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal will bring rain over this region including parts of Odisha. But, the intensity of rain will now decrease over Northeast India.
The Cyclonic Circulation over South Andhra Pradesh and North Tamil Nadu will bring scattered rainfall over Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Rainfall activity is gaining strength along the West Coast, in view of the active off shore trough. Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan & Goa will receive good amounts of rain. Light rain likely along coastal areas of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Moving onto temperatures now. Maximums will settle in higher thirties in the plains including Delhi. In wake of good showers, temperatures will come down to lower thirties in East India and mid-thirties in Peninsular India.
