Southwest Monsoon is gaining strength now. It’s been active over North, East and parts of Central India.
The Western Disturbance over North Pakistan and adjoining areas will bring rain over the hills of India. Tomorrow we can expect light rain over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Uttarakhand will receive good showers.

The Monsoon trough is shifting closer to the foothills as the Western Disturbance seems to be pulling it. On Friday, we can expect Monsoon showers over North Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR and west Uttar Pradesh.

We can see a low pressure area over East India. Therefore, Southwest Monsoon will be active over Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, parts of West Bengal and North Odisha. Sub Himalayan, Sikkim and Northeast India will also continue to receive good Monsoon rain.

Another trough is extending from the Low Pressure area over Bihar up to Coastal Andhra Pradesh. In view of this system, we can expect light thundershowers over Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. West Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat region will remain mostly dry.

The offshore trough is also gaining strength. On Friday, good showers are likely over Coastal Karnataka and Goa. Konkan region including Mumbai will receive light rain.

In absence of any weather activity, maximums are shooting up to 40°C in parts of Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema. In rest of the country, temperatures will remain near or below normal levels.
