The Western Disturbance is moving across Jammu and Kashmir. It will bring scattered moderate rains over the hilly states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The cyclonic circulation remains stationed over Punjab and neighbouring areas.

The low pressure area over West Madhya Pradesh has further weakened. It is now lying as a cyclonic circulation over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Chhattisgarh region. The axis of monsoon trough passes through Firozpur, Delhi, Varanasi, Gaya and Krishnanagar. Thus, Southwest Monsoon will be active over the plains of North India including Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh.

Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal will witness heavy to very heavy rainfall on Saturday. Northeast India will continue to receive scattered rainfall.

A trough can be seen extending from Coastal Andhra Pradesh up to Tamil Nadu. Some rain likely along the trough line.

Off-shore trough along the West Coast is gaining strength and is more marked over Konkan & Goa and Coastal Karnataka. Rainfall will be very light over Kerala and Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra, West Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha and interiors of the Peninsula will remain mostly dry.
