Flood furry continues in West Bengal. In wake of cyclonic storm Komen, the state has been receiving torrential rains.
A Western Disturbance can be seen over North Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir region. It could bring some rain over the state.
There is another low pressure area over West Rajasthan. The Monsoon trough is running from the center of this low, across Karnal, Bareilly, and the weather system over West Bengal. Thus, we can expect some good showers along the foothills of the Himalayas. Scattered light rains likely in the plains of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.
Komen has weakened into a well-marked low pressure area, lying over West Bengal and adjoining Odisha region. It is likely to lose strength gradually, while moving in a westward direction. Tomorrow widespread heavy showers will be witnessed in West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. The rain belt will extend up to East Uttar Pradesh. Good Monsoon showers are expected over Northeastern states as well.
The offshore trough will bring moderate rainfall from Coastal to Konkan & Goa. Kerala will receive only light rain.
Maximums will be way near normal in most parts of the country, barring few states in Peninsular India. Temperatures will be above normal in Telangana, Rayalaseema and parts of Marathwada.
