Light spells of rain to continue in Kolkata and adjacent areas for the next 48 hours and thereby, increase in intensity. Today, the city is likely to experience warm and humid weather conditions leading to thundery activity in late afternoon.
This relief is however short-lived, as heavy thunder showers are expected from the 3rd of September. Last week after incessant rain, life was thrown out of gear in major areas and commuters had to find their way through overflowing drains, scores of uprooted trees and water-logged roads.
