Relief for Delhi again, rain predicted in next 24 hours

Light rains are expected to mark the end of the extended weekend’s settled spell of warm and humid conditions, in the next 24 hours. The rain God will be favourable thereafter, giving moderate rain and pulling down the temperatures by a few notches. While the maximum temperature today would hover around 34 degrees, it would gradually come down by 2 to 3 degrees at the time when the Delhiites would be preparing to hoist the flag on Independence Day.

Temperatures will start dipping tomorrow onwards, with consistent increase in intensity of rainfall. Cloudy sky and moderate rain are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, while the 15th of August requires special mention here as it would mostly witness a wet and cloudy day.

Despite of enough moisture in the atmosphere, good rain was not observed in the city after Eid, due to lack of a trigger mechanism.  Finally, moderate rain is expected to begin in the next 24 hours and last for few days bringing relief from the sultry weather conditions.
