The intensity of rain is expected to maintain in coastal and south Gujarat. Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodra, Jamnagar and Rajkot in the region will be receiving moderate to very heavy rain during the next 48 hours. One or two places could even record extremely heavy rain.
Low lying areas in these places will remain vulnerable to floods. Rain and clouds have pulled down maximum temperature in the region. Temperatures are below normal by 7 degrees at some places.
The low pressure area that lies near southwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Gujarat will continue to fetch moisture from the Arabian Sea to bring clouds and rain in the region. Southeast Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh will also receive rain but intensity is likely to drop after 48 hours.
