Light Mumbai rains to continue, good showers June 5 onward

After witnessing good Monsoon rains, last week in Maharashtra saw the warm and humid weather. Only a few coastal areas have managed to record moderate to heavy spells in the last 24 hours.

Though on and off light rains with isolated moderate spells were recorded over few places but any good shower has evaded the state including Mumbai.

According to Skymet Weather, no significant weather system is prevailing over the region. With this, no major rainfall activities are likely to occur for the next 24 hours. However, isolated light rain cannot be ruled out.

The off-shore trough is seen running along the West Coast from Karnataka up to Kerala but is not active enough. However, this will be able to give light intermittent rain over North Coastal Maharashtra, while moderate rains are likely to continue over South Coastal Maharashtra.

Mumbai will also have to settle with light rainfall and thundershower activities. Thus, the weather will be pleasant during the late evening hours.

Madhya Maharashtra including Pune, Jalgaon, Satara, and Nashik will continue to receive light rainfall activities during the next 24 to 48 hours.

With rains talking back seat, day temperatures may rise marginally over the areas.

In spite of isolated rains likely over Vidarbha and Marathwada, the region will still continue to reel under hot weather conditions

Monsoon has covered almost entire Maharashtra except for parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha. Monsoon will cover Vidarbha in next 48-72 hours.
