As predicted earlier, widespread rain was witnessed in Delhi today that pulled down temperatures by 4-5 degrees and provided relief from the humid conditions prevailing in the city. This spell of rain is expected to continue in intervals for next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, waterlogging and traffic jams were reported from several areas in the city including Kalkaji, Nehru Nagar, Maharani Bagh, IIT flyover, and Ring Road in south Delhi, Rajghat to Delhi Gate in central Delhi and Naraina in west Delhi. Low lying areas were the worst affected as flooding caused water to enter the houses here.
The capital recorded over 7 mm of rain since morning today and may record a little higher tomorrow.
