Monsoon rain that had reduced considerably in the commercial capital Mumbai is going to increase in the next couple of days. The city is expected to get 45mm of rain today which will increase to 50mm on Wednesday. Waterlogged roads and traffic jams is what can be expected on these two days.
Meanwhile, monsoon will be active over Madhya Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and west coast during next 24 to 48 hours. Moderate to heavy rains are expected over central parts of Madhya Pradesh while east Uttar Pradesh and west coast will get moderate rains at many places.
Heavy rain at one or two places is possible over Ratnagiri, Konkan and Goa region. Uttarakhand and Orissa in the north, Bihar and Jharkhand in the east will get scattered rains.
In the northeast, there could be light to moderate rains over many place in Assam and Meghalaya
