After lashing Delhi for last couple of days, rain is likely to decrease in intensity now. Chances of heavy showers in the city will lessen. However, light to moderate rain would continue for next 48 hours

The cyclonic circulation over Haryana and adjoining areas is likely to weaken. The axis of monsoon trough that is currently passing through Delhi will also shift southwards thus changing the wind pattern and affecting rain intensity. These two weather systems were responsible for the rainy period in the capital.

44.2 mm of rain was recorded at Safdarjung Observatory while the Palam Observatory received 17.6 mm of rain from Saturday 8:30 am till 8:30 am on Sunday.
