Delhi receives light spells of rain, to continue for next 48 hours

August 13, 2013 2:00 PM |

Light spells of rain in few patches of Delhi brought some relief from the sultry weather conditions. Rain in the NCR, with particular concentration in north east Delhi, pulled down the temperatures by a few notches. Today, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 32 degrees, and gradually come down by 2 to 3 degrees at the time when the Delhiites would be preparing to hoist the flag on Independence Day.

Temperatures will start dipping tomorrow onwards, with consistent increase in intensity of rainfall. The sky is predicted to remain mainly cloudy with a couple of light spells of rain in the next 24 hours. Delhiites would witness a wet and cloudy day on the 15th of August.

Despite of enough moisture in the atmosphere, good rain was not observed in the city after Eid, due to lack of a trigger mechanism.
