Weather of Bihar and Jharkhand is dry since last many days. Now the axis of Monsoon Trough has shifted northwards and at present it is passing through northern parts of Jharkhand. Now, we expect it to further shift northwards. Moreover, a Cyclonic Circulation is also persisting over Northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, we expect rains to increase over Jharkhand as well as over southern districts of Bihar today and tomorrow.
On August 4, we expect some more parts of Bihar to come under the influence of rain activities. Jharkhand will continue to get good rains and thundershower activities for about a week i.e. August 6 and 7.
Although, the intensity will be comparatively less over Bihar but the southern districts which were dry since last many days are set to benefit from these rains. The southern districts had remained dry even when the Northern districts of Bihar were flooding due to hefty rains.
Now, the southern districts are set to receive more rains as compared to northern Bihar. This, time however chances of flooding in Bihar are ruled out.
The weather will remain pleasant throughout. Moderate rains with one or two heavy spells are expected over Jharkhand and light to moderate rains with isolated heavy spells are likely over southern districts of Bihar. Scattered rain with one or two moderate spells are also expected over Northern districts of Bihar for at least next four to five days.
