A Western Disturbance is approaching the northern hills and will start affecting weather by December 22. The system will last for about two days. After a gap of about 5 days, another Western Disturbance is expected by December 30 or 31. This system could bring snowfall at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh during the New Years.

So if not a White Christmas, you can enjoy a snow filled New Year’s Eve in the following places.

Srinagar

You can spend the New Year’s Eve in the largest city of the Kashmir Valley and the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Srinagar has a good probability of witnessing snowfall on the New Year's Eve this year.

Gulmarg
