Be it any festival and the 'desipan' in all of us pops out. On similar grounds, the festival of colours is not complete without a playlist of Bollywood songs being played at super high volume. The bollywood divas and heroes have always been an inspiration for each age group. Let us try and capture the spirit and colours of the festival this time in purely Bollywood style!
Lehenga: Sounds crazy? Isn’t it? Well, who would want to wear a lehenga on the day of Holi? Looks like, it is time to take some inspiration from our famous divas, Deepika Padukone in the movie ‘Ramleela’ or Alia Bhatt in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’. Just make sure that the hemline of your lehenga is near the ankles so that easy movement during Holi party is possible.
Colourful dupatta with a patiala: Short kurtis with colourful dupatta paired with a patiala is a Bollyood approved comfortable look for Holi. Remember, Aishwarya Rai’s look from the movie, ‘Action Replay’? She donned the same look and well girls it’s time for you to follow her footsteps.
Classic all white look: Woohoo! How can we miss this all-time favourite look? One can always wear long white Kurta and the boys can go in for white shirt or may be a kurta. The feel of colours on a white palette is all together a different thing. Just a small thing to remember, while wearing white, keep in mind that the fabric isn’t see through to avoid any wardrobe malfunction.
Short and tank: Yet again famous song ‘Balam Pichkari’ strikes as soon as we talk about Holi. For a casual and modern Holi party, one can team up shorts with spaghetti, kurtis, tees or may be tank tops.
Jeans: Most of the celebrities are seen wearing a pair of jeans because of a simple fact that they are comfortable. You never know the holi colours might give your jeans a new dimension which can be later used with a solid top. Also, tie up your hair with a bandana which would protect you from direct colours.
