Hey folks, please don't ban all the cabs!

Uber is banned.

Ola is banned.

TaxiForSure faces the heat too.

Are you too fretting over this ban?

Are you too wondering how will you commute to your office tomorrow morning?

Is the wintry morning and evening a concern for you cos your weather-proof cab will not come to your rescue anymore?

Country’s 'smart' mobility seems to have come to a halt. In Delhi, where bone chilling cold is expected to make an appearance, it is even going to get worse.

Here we tell you why.

Nightlife curtailed – It’s that time of the year when most of the office goers like to work till 7 pm and then go out with their friends for a meal to the restaurant or head to a lounge to de-stress. They’re also the same people who rely on these radio cabs as a lifeline to utilize them as an economical and weather-proof mode of transport. In absence of this lifeline, the chilly evenings are set to become worse if you are left to hail an auto.

Christmas and New Year after party + Festival time = Family Time. And often at these parties couples prefer to indulge in drinking and bingeing together, leaving the worry to take them home on the radio cab driver. But due to the absence of these 'rescuers', either one of them will have to refrain from such indulgence.

The After-11 pm-reliable-public-transport in cold evenings – Just like ‘to cut a long story short’, metro trains also enabled Delhiites to shorten their long trips in a jiffy. But metro train is not available post 11pm and during this time if you are thinking of hailing an auto then be prepared to shell out a lot of money as ‘raat ka time hai’. Radio cabs would have been a grace at this crucial time but unfortunately Delhi government has banned radio cabs, leaving you crippled.

Airport pick-up and drop in foggy days – Four years back when aircrafts used to land at 11 in the night, my stress levels used to climb at the mere thought of dealing with offensive and unwilling cab drivers who expected me to pay exorbitantly. Just a month back, the reliable and economical services of a taxi provider cemented by trust in that start-up and I was prepared for the oncoming foggy days. But guys you are now left in lurch and be prepared for eyes-popping-out sky rocketing taxi bills.

Winter-proof form of public transport – Many professionals often use these radio cabs for going to work and coming back from work in winters. They are also great means of taking you to a major meeting without leaving a crease on your business suit unlike other mediums of public transport. However, the limited public transport could now leave the Delhi streets more dangerous than safer.
