Weather-Disaster Movie Geostorm starring Gerrard Butler looks adventurously scary

Deep Impact, The Day After Tomorrow, 2012, San Andreas: all these disaster movies were high on adrenaline rush which keeps the audience at the edge of the seat. And joining the bandwagon of action disaster movies is the latest offering called Geostorm starring Gerard Butler.

By looking at the trailer, we can speculate that the story is about the weather controlling network of satellites. And how somehow they go rouge against the world. From mega tornadoes to kilometers tall tidal waves to hail storm the size of boulders, the trailer shows that the planet Earth is very much likely to be destroyed by the extreme weather conditions.

But Gerard Butler who plays Max the weather scientist with his team is likely to save the World. The movie is co-written, directed and produced by Dean Devlin who was the producer of 1997 hit action movie Independence Day. The movie also stars - Abbie Cornish, Alexandra Lara, Jim Sturgess, Amr Waked, Ed Harris and Andy García.

Geostorm will hit the theaters on October 20 worldwide.
