One of the biggest electronic dance-music festivals of Asia begins tomorrow in Goa. With 127 artists and 200 hours of music, Sunburn is definitely growing in magnitude over the years. If you are attending Sunburn 2013 from the 27th to 29th of December in the sprawling Vagator beach of Goa, get ready for a roller coaster ride. And if you still need some nudge then spare a moment for an insight into the festival.

Weather in Goa

First of all, let’s acquaint ourselves with the weather in Goa around this time of the year. Goa will be hot and humid in the day time with maximum temperatures hovering around 34 degrees. However, nights will be cooler at around 20 degrees and lazing in the shacks till late night to relax your tired bones would be a good option.

Artist line-up

Sunburn 2013 boasts of an excellent line-up including electronic music heavyweights such as Afrojack, Goldfish, Mark Knight, No_ID, James Zabiela and Pete Tong. The great Swedish DJ Axwell had a special track for Sunburn last year and always has something new, so “don’t you worry child” he’s “got a plan for you.”

Trance producer Richard Durand, drum and bass pioneer DJ Fresh and Marco Bailey will also be performing here. Andrew Rayel will take you to a new world of trance through his tracks like Zeus, 550 Senta and Aeon of Revenge.

The Venue- Vagator beach

This year the venue is much bigger and better. Located in the heart of North Goa, Vagator beach is easily accessible from all directions. It is very near to the famous beach of Anjuna and just about an hour and half drive from the airport. It is the pioneer of the global Goa Trance movement and the host of Sunburn for almost a decade. Stretching from the shoreline to the hills, Vagator provides a dramatic view of the sunset and serves as a spectacular natural amphitheatre. Coupled with grassy slopes and flat land, it’s the perfect location to host Sunburn 2013.

Take a break from the hustle bustle and try paragliding, go for hot air balloon rides and private Sunburn cruises. Goa has a lot to offer to tourists across the world. So if you feel three days are not enough to explore this heaven on Earth, postpone your return tickets until after the New Year.
