Hangout points are the other classroom, frankly speaking. At Delhi University’s North Campus, student hangouts come in all shapes and sizes. While some are as old as the University, others are as fresh as the latest batch of students. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular hangouts located in and around North Campus.

Ricos

Ricos is heaven for foodies who wish to savor American, Italian, Mexican, and even Lebanese preparations. It has good ambience and does not allow drinking or smoking. Moreover, it has good ambience with nice quality food.

Big Yellow Door

An extremely popular joint, Big Yellow Door is a small but happening student hangout located in the North Campus. Early birds can’t be earlier as this particular restaurant opens up as early as 8 in the morning and functions till 11 at night.

Delhi School of Economics

Another classic hangout spot where food is economically priced and the peace and quiet simply latches onto you. Moreover, the famous JP tea stall is an added attraction which promises some priceless fun-loving memories. Ask any alumni and they’ll say, ”D-School hangout was awesome, I miss it badly!”

Shagun

In case you’re looking for an authentic Asian experience for your taste buds, steer towards Shagun. Treat yourself to some lip-smacking Asian delicacies with some funky Asian music in the background. The service is good, the staff is polite, and the food is truly Asian.

QD’s Restaurant

Momo lovers always make it a point to visit the QD’s restaurant. It features the very special Tandoori Momos which are a major hit among students as well as teachers. Above everything else, QD’s is value for money for the kind of quality, variety, and quantity they offer.

Sing Ching

Don’t let the name fool you, Sing Ching is actually a North India food joint which features a variety of Mughlai and Chinese dishes on its menu. Sing Ching offers good food at affordable prices and is more of a family restaurant. But students pile up every single day!

Arts Faculty

Or just Arts Fac, as the local populace calls it. Hangouts need not be restaurants only. Be it summer or winter, Arts Fac is usually swarmed up with students. Individuals and groups relax in the lawns, chat all day, share food (and stories), and cherish the calm stroke of University life.

Mr. Crust Bakers

A bakery shop only completes the hangout experience at Delhi University’s North Campus. From pastries to puffs and from breads to cakes, all kinds of snacks and quick-bites are available here. It is totally affordable and you can pick an item randomly and not leave dissatisfied.

Bromfy Public House

Bromfy Public House is costly in comparison to other hangouts but it’s open till 1 am and is stuffed with students swaying to rock tunes, getting high on booze, and gorging on the multi-cuisine menu which includes Italian, American, and even North Indian.

Bille Di Hatti

A street food joint which is visited by hundreds of students in a single day. Bille Di Hatti serves mouth-watering chole bhature which must be washed down with the delicious lassi available at the joint. You can avail a quick bite and leave with a spicy and tangy taste in your mouth.

Indus Flavor

A little heavy on the wallet, Indus Flavor is another hangout point which makes it to the list of popular Delhi University North Campus hangouts. It is primarily popular as a home delivery thing and comes with options that let you customize your meals. Some say it is in fact a must visit for DU students and actually anyone in general.

The Metro Station

Several faces, large and small groups, hand-holding couples, constant chatter, and countless stories, all this barely sums up the Metro Station located in the North Campus. Vishwavidyalaya  Metro station is more happening than any other hangout on any list out there. It is basically a summary of the University culture that magnifies as you get closer to colleges and faculties.
