Monsoon enters parts of Maharashtra

Although Maharashtra has already surpassed its normal date of arrival of Monsoon. It seems wait is finally over for parts of Madhya Maharashtra region. Monsoon has finally arrived in few pockets of Interior Maharashtra. Although the state has not received any significant showers from past 10 days. There are possibilities of light to moderate rainfall in a few parts of Pune during the week. Chances are that these rains may intensify during next 24 hours. Other pockets of Maharashtra that has received light to moderate rainy spells include:
The trough is in close proximity of Madhya Maharashtra and its northern parts may receive rains at many places. However, chances of these rains becoming subdued after 24 to 48 hours is also predicted for a short while. The average monthly rainfall recorded for Pune is 116.1 mm although till date the city has observed rainfall of 32 mm only in the month of June which is far behind its normal monthly average amount. The Southwest Monsoon has advanced into some parts of Central Arabian Sea, entire Goa, few pockets of south Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada. Hence it can be said that the conditions seems favorable for parts of Madhya Maharashtra.
