If you are one of those who cannot enjoy a goodnight sleep without completing their daily walk regime, a good news awaits you.

As per new research, people who indulge in some sort of a movement for a few minutes every day live a longer life.

The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention conducted a National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey.

The participants included 3,000 people aged between 50 and 79. The participants were supposed to wear activity trackers, called accelerometers, for a week.

As per the findings, the ones with the least activity levels were five times more likely to die as compared to highly active ones. Also, the least active subjects were three times more vulnerable as compared to the ones in the middle range activity.

Instead of sitting on a desk the entire day, it is highly beneficial for people to walk around a little bit. Also, doing household chores including sweeping the floor as well as washing dishes does the trick. The entire idea is to ensure that you are involved in some physical activity which involves movement.

Simply adding 10 minutes of activity could make a huge difference. If the time span is increased to 30 minutes of moderate activity, the outcome is expected to be even better. So, to add a few extra years to your life, all you need to do is keep moving.
