While you may have been skipping that morning meal every day because you want to lose weight, or you are late for work/college, you may not be making a big mistake.

On one hand, research suggests that eating breakfast not only improves your metabolism but it also kick starts the digestion process.

However, several experts have a different story to tell. People who skip the entire breakfast routine on a regular basis do not necessarily eat lesser calories.

In fact, after analysis, both the breakfast eating and the non-breakfast eating team had a similar calorie intake. The ones who fasted during breakfast compensated the intake in the later meals of the day.

The study also explained that the ones eating breakfast actively participated in more physical activities as compared to the non-eaters. Physical activity is a necessity when it comes to staying healthy.

However, as per experts, it entirely depends on an individual as to how important is breakfast really for their personal goals. For instance, if you are on a weight loss regime, skipping or eating breakfast will make a huge difference. Meanwhile, if you want to take the road to a healthy lifestyle, eating breakfast may become vital.

Also, the effects of eating or skipping breakfast depend on how a person responds to it. The impact of a high protein meal will be quite different as compared to a sugary cereal. Researchers are likely to study these effects of breakfast even further.
