10 hydrating foods to beat the summer heat

It’s the rule of thumb to drink eight glasses of water a day to keep yourself hydrated. However, you can consume that daily dose of H2O in some other ways too.

Its’ vital to drink water in summer to keep oneself protected from heat stroke and other summertime disorders. But if you feel thirsty and drinking a lot of water is cumbersome then quench that thirst by eating some of the hugely hydrated fruits and food items this summer season.

Cucumber

A whopping 96% water content makes cucumber the best fit this summer season to fulfill the daily need of water.  If wanted take cucumber with yogurt or ice cubes and enhance the water content of this hugely popular summer veggie. Not to forget the perfect use of cucumber as evening snack along with the hummus, salad and sandwiched between brown bread slices.

 

 

 

 

 

Watermelon

A mere mention of summer and pops the red, juicy and filling slices or small balls of watermelon in everyone’s mind. One of the popular summer fruits, watermelon is an excellent source of hydration during the season. 91% water weight makes the antioxidant enriched fruit a must try as a fruit, smoothie, juice or topping over frozen yogurt.
