Winter seems to be hanging around for some more time across the globe. While the snow storm in USA has hampered travelling schedules, a separate snow storm in Japan has affected normal life. Not to forget the threat that looms large over the arrival of Spring season.
It’s the first official week of spring, yet a taste of winter is still being felt in parts of Dallas, Indiana and Arkansas in USA. More than a foot of snow has forced schools to remain shut for the time being. While the local commute has become difficult due to snow, people travelling from Chicago to other stations are experiencing day-long headaches due to flight delays.
The snow moved into parts of Indiana, Ohio and southern Michigan by yesterday afternoon and according to Skymet snow is expected to fizzle out by the weekend. Some pockets of sleet and freezing rain are also possible in eastern Iowa and central Illinois.
Cold Spring in Japan
Snow has paid an unwelcome visit to the Northern Province of Japan that includes Hokkaido. Due to the unseasonable low temperatures, residents of Hokkaido are experiencing cold spring.
The cold snap in US and Japan is expected to last till Saturday.
