Britain is all set to see the coldest night as temperatures will plunge to -10 degrees Celsius. The UK will see Polar air spreading across, with sub zero temperatures before winter officially begins in the United Kingdom.

The recent storm Sebastien brought in some balmy conditions, but weather is all set to freeze with temperatures in Scotland is likely to fall to -6 degrees, with temperatures dropping to -10 degrees on Friday and Saturday.

Rain warnings have been issued in northeastern parts of England and southeastern areas of Scotland today. The coldest night before this was on November 19, when temperatures had reduced to sub zero.

Weekend is expected to remain freezing, but sky conditions will remain clear. The reason for this weather is because of a high pressure area across UK which is bringing in cold arctic air from the northern region.

Today, cloud and patchy rain is expected in the afternoon, but conditions will improve. Snow showers may be seen in northern parts of Scotland today. There may be flooding in parts of the UK with some serious flood alerts.

However, cold and dry weather will be dominant during the weekend and sub zero temperatures will be seen throughout.
