Heavy rains accompanied with gusty winds as well snow are expected over western parts of the United States as multiple storm systems are brewing in the region. Travel is likely to be affected during the thanksgiving weekend due to these systems.
Parts of Oregon observed heavy rainfall on Thanksgiving with flood like conditions in some parts. Not only this, the Mountain West is expected to observe more snow in the coming days The Cascades is expected to witness between 8 to 18 inches of snow during this period.
Mountain snow is also expected along areas of the Sierra Nevada Range as well as the Rockies. Travel delays here are also expected as heavy snowfall may occur over some areas as well.
Meanwhile, California is expected to witness breezy and dry weather conditions during the early hours of today. However, rainy weather will soon follow suit. Late afternoon and evening is expected to witness rains. In fact, the West Coast is expected to observe at least five inches of rain during the weekend.
On the other hand, Northeast US is expected to observe scattered snowfall, while central United States may witness light rains.
