The northeastern United States has to wait for some more time to get relief from the ongoing heatwave conditions. The temperatures are slated to soar once again.

As per the Meteorological Department, many regions of the eastern Great Lakes are predicted to record high temperatures in 90’s. While throughout northeast, the highs in temperature may rise in upper 80's and 90's.

Most of the cities may even end up creating a new record of observing highest temperature at midweek. Rochester, New York is particularly expected to witness a whopping rise of temperature high up to 97°F, which will be highest since the summer of 2012.

As reiterated by the Meteorological Department, the heat may further strengthen along the I-95 corridor of the mid-Atlantic and southern New England in the later week but may slowly come down in the interiors.

In fact places like Rochester; Hartford, Connecticut; Philadelphia and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Trenton, New Jersey; Baltimore; and Washington, D.C. New York City and Boston may also witness heatwave conditions with temperatures scorching up to 90°F. Humidity levels are also expected to increase and therefore residents are expected to take proper cautions to fight against these scorching summer heat.

Moreover, rainfall along with cool winds will occur across the interior of the northeast only during the next week. However, prolonged heat relief may not be expected in remaining July and not even in August.

Majority of northeast, and north Pennsylvania Turnpike was facing dry weather conditions till now. Though rains are expected in the entire northeast, it will still not prevent the parts of Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire from prevailing drought-like conditions. However, these rains will prevent the conditions from deteriorating further.
