Brits are advised to prepare themselves for the harshest, snowiest winter in so many past years. According to weather forecasters, this winter is going to threaten the trend of previous mild years with the mercury going to plummet.
The cold is likely at the start of next month before thermometers plunge through December and January.
As per experts this winter the conditions will be “potent” and “memorable” with snow expected during November.
Late this weekend and into next week, weather will turn much colder in the north and stretch over many other parts of the country as well. With this, rise in the snow risk levels is expected across the country and parts of the north will see some major snow over higher ground.
The Arctic Oscillation (AO) is likely to start trending more towards negative territory from this point forward and this will build the conditions for a colder than average winter this year.
There will be periods of strongly negative plunges particularly from December to January, which will result in some potentially memorable episodes of cold and snow for most parts of the country.
Weather will turn cooler next week with temperatures anticipated to fall below normal for the time of year, as per weatherman. However, for the next few days and into the weekend, it is looking somewhat milder than average.
